As soon as you set foot on Sark, you enter a world of tranquility and luxury. La Sablonnerie is a magical place and ensures the ultimate get-away-from-it-all experience. A break here is memorable from the start – the hotel sends a horse-drawn barouche to collect you from the tiny harbour to take you to Little Sark at the southernmost tip. The 16th century farmhouse and cottages that make up La Sablonnerie are delightful and set in extensive grounds.
 
The heart of the hotel is the low-beamed bar with its granite walls and massive fireplace that has roaring fires in winter. All the traditional charm has been maintained in the public rooms and individually decorated bedrooms.
