WITCH OF WOOKEY HOLE
The infamous Witch of Wookey Hole will be delighting visitors in a spooktacular new lair this Halloween season. Chamber 20, buried hundreds of feet beneath the Mendip Hills! Step into the cavern this Halloween, which houses the all new Witch’s Grotto, where children can meet the Witch and receive a gift. As well as Chamber 20, new visitors and regulars alike will be amazed at the spooky themed fun on offer at the attractions during the October half term, including the Halloween Circus Show which takes place daily at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. There is an opportunity for children to win a free return visit for their family by taking part in the fancy dress competition held at the 3pm circus show, and spooky characters will be hosting the new haunted cave tour. There are over 20 attractions also which visitors can enjoy with just one-day pass including the Magical Mirror Maze, Fairy Garden, Wizard’s Play Barns and Valley of the Dinosaurs. Halloween Festival in Stratford Upon Avon
The annual Halloween Festival is even spookier than ever. Now in its 11th year Stratford’s Annual Halloween Festival is even spookier than before. Once again it will be centred on the Creaky Cauldron and Magic Alley in Henley Street from 1 October – 31 October 2016.
Taking visitors on a “phantasm” – agorical journey into the spooky world of the Pumpkin Father the festival is an absolute must for those interested in ghosts, ghouls and everything that goes bump in the night!
Magic Alley will be packed with Halloween goodies and treats that you can’t get from anywhere else and the Golden Broomstick Café will be serving hot spiced pumpkin juice and pumpkin shaped cookies and treats.
The Enchanted Manor Museum will once again become the Haunted Manor as it plays home not just to the Tale of the Pumpkin Father but also becomes the temporary home of the Wicked Wizard of the West!
There will be spooky storytelling sessions for children of all ages as Dave Matthews, author of the Chronicles of Wizard’s Thatch, reveals secrets that don’t appear in the books and brings his tales to life as only he can!
And then after dark, join the sinister Professor for terrifying tales by candlelight as he brings the macabre tale of Alice’s House vividly to life in the Stratford Ripper Experience – this is strictly for adults only and definitely not for the faint hearted!
