Wheelers Oyster Bar in Whitstable’s High Street have been serving oysters for as long as anyone can remember. Offering an old fashioned, friendly service and Whitstable’s oldest oyster bar, you will find Wheelers absolutely charming, compelling yet unpretentious in style. Trading since it was founded in the mid 19th century by Richard “Leggy” Wheeler, chef Adam Jull has added delicious homemade bread and rolls, and chef Mark Stubbs runs a monthly Cookery School, and they grow their own vegetables and herbs. To the rear is an endearing restaurant and every dish is made and served completely to order (groups of 8 or more MUST pre-order). Every visit to Whitstable should include a visit to Wheelers Oyster Bar… we just loved the quintessential ambience, the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, the fabulous food that is so tasty and fresh, and we highly recommend the oysters, crab, lobster… in fact, all of the dishes! Any customer who visits Wheelers will want to go again and again.
(Wheelers Oyster Bar do not accept credit or debit cards).
