This recently-built, comfortable 3 Star Hotel consisting of 22 en suite rooms is located in the Ancient town of Rye, on the Strand Quay overlooking the River Tillingham.
Superior garden rooms benefit from a private patio for double occupancy, Superior rooms feature a river view, and there are a selection of disabled-friendly rooms. The River Haven also offers standard double, twin or family rooms. All rooms include hospitality trays, flat screen TVs with Freeview, telephone and internet access.
The conservatory restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, from an interesting and varied menu that utilises local produce and suppliers. Al-fresco dining is available.
The hotel and the restaurant both disabled friendly and have ample parking.
Room service and ‘breakfast in bed’ is available at a small extra charge.
The centre of the medieval town is a couple of minutes walk with a variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants together with features such as the Landgate Tower built in 1325 as a defence against the French. The majority of the citadel is a conservation area and includes churches, the Town Hall and a myriad of buildings of historical interest.
The River Haven Hotel is situated on the main A259 trunk road leading from the channel ports. Ample parking is accessed from the A259 to the parking area in front of the premises. Additional parking is available in the adjacent car park.
The front entrance is approached via the car park either by steps or a ramp, and the front door has wheelchair access without a threshold. Reception can be accessed via a hatch.
