Looking for the spookiest event in the UK and Ireland? Well you’ve come to the right place! At Les Routiers we are eyeing up all the fantastic that are planned for this year’s Halloween.

Wookey Hole, Somerset (26 October – 3 November)

Youngsters’ imaginations will run wild when stepping inside the fantastic collection of 50,000 year old caves of Wookey Hole situated in Somerset – once home to the beasts of the Ice Age. Tiptoe around the witch’s kitchen and witch’s parlour, all draped in neon colour lights and echoing with cackles and dreary drips of the enigmatic river. Over the Halloween season – there will be the renowned Witch of Wookey Hole lurking around nooks and corners!
This enchantress isn’t all witchcraft and black cats – she will be happy to take you on a tour of her ancient lair, that’s if you’re brave enough!

Signature Viceroy - SomersetApproximately I hour away from Wookey Hole is a fantastic award winning Les Routiers listed establishment, the Signature Viceroy. Located in Yeovil, this independently owned restaurant offers fine dining Indian cuisine in chic and sophisticated surroundings. The team behind the helm of the Signature Viceroy aim to become the finest Indian restaurant in the South West and it is clear to see they are well on their way. Twice nominated ‘Best UK Newcomer Spice Restaurant’ with the British Curry Awards and ‘Best South West Restaurant 2010’ with Spice Times Awards, they have redefined Indian cuisine as we know it! Halloween Festival, Stratford-upon-Avon (1-31 October)

Scare yourself stupid with 31 days of non-stop nail-biting, spine-tingling festivities at the Stratford – upon – Avon annual Halloween Festival! Now reaching its seventh successful year. The festival organisers have thought up ways to induce goose bumps in all ages, with plenty of unnerving activities for the whole family. Wonder into a mass zombie walk, practice your spell casting with magic lessons for budding witches and wizards, or sit in and enjoy ghoulish ghost stories galore. Be sure to try the signature butter beer and slice of cauldron cake too in the Golden Broomstick Tearoom.
