Shakespeare’s England – Stratford Upon Avon

Shakespeare’s England is home to Stratford-upon-Avon the birthplace of

William Shakespeare. Within the town you can visit his Birthplace and see how this literary legend was born and raised. In and around the town are also many houses associated with his life and family, including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.  Stratford-upon-Avon is also home to the world famous Royal Shakespeare Company and the newly refurbished Theatre. Here you can see many of Shakespeare’s plays performed along with many new original productions.

Market Hall Museum – Warwick

Do you know what your town is famous for making? Discover Warwickshire’s links to some incredible inventions, find out all about everything from hats, bicycles and holograms which have been made in the county. Have a go at weaving, and make a tile or coil pot of your own to take home.

Twycross Zoo – Warwickshire


Come face-to-face with 900 animals of more than 150 species, including some of the most endangered at Twycross Zoo. Set in more than 80 acres, immerse yourself in the Zoo’s fascinating exhibits: the Borneo Longhouse, a Sri Lankan elephant walkway, giving views of female elephants, Owl Aviaries and the Penguin Lagoon. The zoo has also recently welcomed an Amur leopard exhibit, a lemur walk, a giant tortoise walkabout, Monkeys in Trees and so much more! A great day out for the whole family, with gift shop, plenty of parking and family facilities.

Avon Boating – Stratford Upon Avon

Avon Boating is one of England’s oldest and largest traditional boating companies, offering boats for hire on one of the finest rivers in the country, the Avon at Stratford

Albany Theatre – Coventry

A truly hidden gem in the heart of Coventry, with its impressive Art Deco-style theatre behind a superb façade of the old Coventry Technical College. Designed in 1919 and originally opened in 1935 the theatre recently reopened and regularly hosts live shows, comedy and tribute acts.

Coventry Festival of Motoring –23rd – 24th August Bank Holiday

The much loved motoring festival Coventry Festival of Motoring takes place at Stoneleigh Park one of the UK’s leading event venues set in 250 acres in the Warwickshire countryside.  Although entry is free of charge there is a small fee to park your car.

Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden – Coventry

Enjoy a great day out at one of the largest historic sites in the West Midlands. The whole family can enjoy exploring the spectacular castle ruins and follow in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth I in the authentically recreated Elizabethan Garden, lost to the world for over 400 years, now open to visitors once more.
