  • Restaurant of the Year
  • Café of the Year
  • Guest House of the Year
  • Hotel of the Year
  • Bed & Breakfast of the Year

Venue of the Year
The Les Routiers Venue of the year demonstrates exceptional determination to cater for the needs of its customer events no matter the size. Our venue of the year will continue to demonstrate the Les Routiers key criteria over and above what is expected, across every occasion and event it undertakes. Yet it will still be able to offer the same standards of food, drink and accommodation of other award-winning establishments.

Pub of the Year
This award applauds those enthusiastic, even fanatical, landlords whose passion extends beyond their quest to offer a tip-top pint at every pull. These establishments will also be able to offer outstanding service, and may also produce good value, fresh food.

Inn of the Year
Here we highlight some of Britain’s great inns- the new breed of the country hotels and restaurants. Our winner successfully combines a relaxed informal atmosphere with superlative food, genuine, warm hospitality, individuality and comfortable accommodation.

Restaurant of the Year
Les Routiers’ restaurants are champions of fresh seasonal produce. This means we have listed establishments located around the country that serve good food at its flavoursome best. Our winners aim to source ingredients as locally as possible, which they use imaginatively in unpretentious and often regional dishes. Their appreciation of regional produce is what underpins Les Routiers’ philosophy. They deliver all this at outstanding value for money.

Café of the Year
Les Routiers’ cafés are a rare and varied bunch – and range from traditional tearooms and cafés to contempary conservatories serving all-day homemade snacks. The emphasis is on quality food and friendly service, and our winners are shining examples of this combination.

Guest House of the Year
For years, guesthouses were seen as second or even third best accommodation. The Les Routiers guest houses have changed this understanding, and our winner has, over the previous 12 months shown exceptional determination to raise the perception of guesthouses by offering friendly and personal service, while still showing themselves to be a professional business operation.

Hotel of the Year
All our hotels are independently run, and this is evident from their friendly, personal service, individually designed interiors and comfortable accommodation. Our winners successfully combine warm hospitality with a high standard of décor, and often provide the extras you would expect of deluxe hotels.

Bed & Breakfast of the Year
Gone are the days when Bed & Breakfasts were considered second best. Our establishments offer first-class accommodation with a friendly, although not obtrusive service. The bedrooms and public areas combine comfortable home-from-home feel with stylish interiors. Our winner surpasses expectations in all these elements and delivers a fantastic morning experience by offering an outstanding breakfast.

Newcomer of the Year
This award, reserved for those who are in their first 12 months of membership, recognises the establishment that has, in their short time with our guide, really impressed our inspectors and team members. They demonstrate all of the qualities that Les Routiers represents and receive only positive feedback from customers.
