Set a block or two back from the seafront, this splendid gable-ended mansion is one of many fine examples of Victorian architecture that define this traditional resort town. Smart oak-panelled public rooms include the Welsh Dresser Bar, which sports a magnificent cooking range. There's a relaxing reading lounge and a panelled lounge with an open fire and cosy corners.   In the restaurant, chandeliers, draped windows and linen-clothed tables make for elegant dining.

Take Llandudno exit off A55 and follow signs for the North Shore. Follow the seafront until the cenotaph then turn left. Go straight over two mini islands and the hotel is on your left on Glodaeth Avenue towards the west shore.
