Opening times: Tuesday: 12 - 8.45pm, Wednesday: 12 - 10pm, Thursday & Friday: 10am - 10.15pm, Saturday: 9am - 9.30pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. "Excellent wines, great service and tasty platters. This is truly the coolest wine bar in London." Mr P Curran
There can be no disputing Peter Curran's words – a visit to Bedales is a truly pleasurable treat. Attentive staff who welcome and serve you with courtesy, fine wines, a selection that would impress connoisseurs and aficionados alike, tasty platters and delicious French loaves – sheer bliss. What started as a stall on vibrant Borough Market in 2001 is now an established Mecca for wine lovers to enjoy themselves in a cool and funky atmosphere. Arnaud Compas is the wine expert who has travelled the world and carefully selected an array of classic, contemporary and charismatic wines. With a host of events taking place all year round (check out their blog http://bedaleswines.blogspot.com/) you cannot fail to be impressed by Bedales' passion and drive. Bedales offers excellent value on corkage. Here Arnaud explains the service "We are a proper wine shop that knows it stuff, where you can sit down and try things by the glass and if you've tasted something that's really tickled you pink, buy a bottle to take home with you to enjoy later. It's a wine bar too with food to compliment your glass. You can buy a bottle at retail price and then pay £8 corkage to drink it here." |
