Part of David and Becky Salisbury's thriving mini dining-pub empire, it offers first-class food served in an informal atmosphere. This country pub successfully blends a stylishly modernised interior, with its tiled and wooden floors and old scrubbed-pine tables, with some imaginative modern British cooking that relies on quality, local, free-range and organic produce where possible.
Great care is taken in presentation of dishes and flavours shine through. There are good ales and a raft of wines offered by the glass. On warm days, tables spill out on to the front terrace. The Alford is sister pub to Royal Oak Marlow, Old Queen's Head, Penn, and The Swan Inn, Denham
